01 · The project
Brief
Mechanical design and sustainability lead for a six storey, 176 unit residential building achieving CAGBC Zero Carbon Building Design v3 certification. The target was set before the pro forma was finalised, so the strategy had to be costed as carefully as it was modelled.
Where it stands
Occupied. Winner of the 2026 CAGBC Inspiring Home Award, and an honourable mention in the 2024 Ontario Embodied Carbon Awards.
